24 May 2023 - 0 Comments

Reggae Powerhouse Chad ‘Boogieman’ Chambers (Ngāti Porou, Te Whānau a Te Aotāwirirangi me Ruataupare) is set to release his long awaited debut album Nāti Shores this Friday 26 May.

The eight track bilingual album produced in collaboration with Zane Graham, draws inspiration from an array of musical greats including Prince Tui Teka, Bob Marley and Elvis Presley, and pays homage to his people on the East Coast.

“Its been a long time in the making, ” says Chambers “this album gives people an insight into the I and what’s important to me, my whānau and my people”

Chambers extends his heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in the creation of this album, recognising the collaborative efforts that brought the project to life.

Nāti Shores is dedicated to Chad's whānau, serving as a reminder to keep dreaming and pursuing their aspirations. “Kia marotiri ai te wawata - reach for your highest potential”.

Nāti Shores is exclusive to Iwi radio from Wednesday 24 May and available on all streaming platforms from Friday 26 May, 2023. The album is available for pre-save here.
