Up-and-coming Aotearoa RnB duo Citris iNK have just released their exciting and dreamy new single Last Night Replay.

Listen Here

A beautiful and catchy love song, Last Night Replay is the pairs second single, following on from their 2022 debut Knowing You’re Mine (#38 RadioScope Beats RnB Chart). “It’s about not being able to sleep because you can’t stop thinking about the amazing night you had with someone (wink, wink),” says lead singer Kristin. “It’s playful, kind of cheeky and flirty. Our last song (Knowing You’re Mine) was pretty wholesome. This one has a little more spice to it. As artists, I think it shows our versatility. We don’t want to limit ourselves to that wholesome, ‘Oh they’re a cute couple’. We’re grown. We do adult ‘couple things’ too. I also think, as Kiwis, we tend to be a bit more reserved and shy away from sex-talk within music. So I think this song really challenges us to be vulnerable in allowing ourselves to be a little sexy.”

Recorded at the West Auckland studio of Atlanta, USA originated multi-instrumentalist and producer Mo’Dre (Andre Brown), who undoubtedly has brought his worldwide experience performing with artists such as TLC, Keri Hilson and Omarion, to this new track - successfully creating and embracing the authentic and nostalgic RnB sound.

Citris iNK ismade up of South-African born, NZ-raised singer-songwriter Kristin Paulse & Auckland born and raised bassist and multi-instrumentalist Nick Taylor. As working musicians, more often than not, the pair are in different countries for work. Nick based in New Zealand and Kristin in Australia. “It’s tough making/releasing music while being a duo operating in two different countries, so we’re forced to be a bit spontaneous with ‘what’s to come’ and how - but we’re excited about Last Night Replay.”

Nick is a multi-instrumentalist and professional bassist of over 10 years. Having performed and recorded around the world with various artists such as Andréa Lisa, Ronald Bruner Sr. (The Temptations) and George ‘Funky’ Brown (Kool & the Gang), Nick brings his decade long knowledge and experience forward in leading music composition and arrangements as well as providing tasty vocals for Citris iNK. Kristin is a professional singer and actress based between Auckland and Australia. Having worked predominantly in musical theatre touring, Kristin shows variety in her performance ability, able to channel different influences vocally and lyrically from different genres and styles. Kristin uses her creative influences to provide lyrics and lead vocals for Citris iNK. Described by the press as, “synthetically 90’s in texture,” Nickand Kristin are the bridge between Old-Skool RnB and the New Age Neo-Soul. Bringing forward a sound that’s nostalgic yet refreshing and new with the release of their debut single in 2022, Knowing You’re Mine - and now with this stunning new single Last Night Replay - out now!
