Nothing beats the feeling of a good live performance, so in the middle of their successful 26 date nationwide tour all across Aotearoa, Turkey The Bird recorded their homecoming show at the 4th Wall Theatre in New Plymouth and are releasing it as a live album on Friday 15th September on all digital music platforms.
The album will feature live versions of songs from their 2 previous albums (Turkey The Bird & WTF) as well as a few “turkeyfied” covers.
The live album was recorded by Brett Carter from the 4th Wall Theatre and was mixed and mastered by Matt Sephton at the Coro Sonic Lab in Coromandel town. To celebrate this special occasion the NZ folk trio will play one exclusive show at the intimate Most FM live lounge on Saturday 16th September.
Tickets are very limited and can be purchased on eventfinda.co.nz for $35.
New Zealand's folk trio Turkey The Bird will remind you of the famous Margarita cocktail infused with a hint of Simon & Garfunkel, 2 ounces of Mumford and Sons, a splash of banjo and served on ice on a sunny day. Catchy folk songs with stunning rich melodies and effortless smooth lyrics. Songs that tell uplifting stories about love and life.
Hailing from the New Zealand left coast town New Plymouth, this uplifting band will hit you with beautiful three part harmonies and toe tapping rhythms. The bearded trio features Andre Manella from Switzerland on guitar, bass and percussion, Adrian Whelan from Ireland on guitar, mandolin, bass and spoons,
and Sol Bear Coulton, the token kiwi, on Banjo and slide guitar.
"injects hoedown-showdown fun, fun, fun and the harmonies shine like diamonds."
