22 September 2023 - 0 Comments

New Zealand’s L.A.B return with their first new music for 2023 with the single Casanova. The track is lifted from their upcoming sixth album, and arrives just as the band get set to take on Europe and the UK for the first time this October.

L.A.B bring their unique soul, funk and reggae-inspired sound to their own version of LeVert’s late-80's classic, incorporating the harmonies and soulful vibe which has seen their audience continue to grow across the world with each release. The track is a taste of summer, and another tease ahead of the band’s anticipated new album.

L.A.B this week have taken out Best Single (Take It Away) at the 2023 Rolling Stone Awards, an award voted on by the global Rolling Stone editors and select music journalists. The band were also nominated for the Rolling Stone Global Award. After winning Best Group, Best Song, Best Album and Best Roots Artist two years in a row at the Aotearoa Music Awards and taking out Best Record at the 2022 Rolling Stone Awards, their new album will be their first since late-2021.

The coming summer will see them perform two special shows alongside the legendary Sublime, with both fast approaching sell out. With the new album in the bag, they’ll close out the summer by returning to the Byron Bay Bluesfest, with more shows across the globe to be announced.
