New solo NZ artist Raging Flowers releases her debut EP with a waterfall strategy

14 March 2024 - 0 Comments

Raging Flowers is about to release her debut EP on 12 April 2024. Her EP is being released with a waterfall release strategy which reveals the first single of the EP on 22 March 2024, followed by one more single each of the following Fridays.

The first single of this EP is called Can Someone I Love Love Me Please. It is a groovy indie-country-pop song about dating troubles. It cheerfully tells a story about feeling tired of dating but still longing for love.

This song features chicken pickin’ and finger-style electric guitars inspired by Chet Atkins as well as soft and intimate female vocals.

Raging Flowers is a Chinese-Kiwi singer-songwriter-producer based in Auckland. She makes cheerful groovy music about darker feelings. She classifies her music as self-help indie pop.

Raging Flowers has an unusual start to her music career. Although she's always had an interest in music, she pursued a career in tech. She became a star programmer in various software fields including music, blockchain and AI. She even built and launched her own music-learning software while working part-time as a Software Engineer and training hard as a professional Muay Thai athlete. Eventually, she got burnt out and had to stop to care for her body and mind. She leaned into creativity, got in touch with her feelings, got therapy, and finally came out the other side feeling recharged and wholesome.

Raging Flowers writes songs to encourage people to explore their feelings, because it's too easy to be caught up with our busy lives and get increasingly numb and unhappy. She wishes her music to get out there and help someone through a tough day or put a smile on their face.
