Ekho Laliah Releases New EP 'Runes'

02 August 2024 - 0 Comments

One year after releasing her debut album Compendium of Colours, Ekho Laliah (FKA Silva Spiral) has released her next project Runes – an EP of 5 selected experimental dance pop tracks that she has been crafting over the past 6 months. She creates sounds that play with the notion of dichotomy; oscillating between worlds in hopes to strike a sonic balance between shimmering nostalgia and the unknown.

Ekho Laliah’s Runes is a collection of selected tracks made during the first half of 2024, originally for a live setting. The track’s meanings span from delicate musings of past lovers, to her favourite anime, to efforts of just trying to make a cool pop song. The EP was written, recorded, produced and mixed by Ekho Laliah in her bedroom on Garageband. It was later mastered by Eerie at Mimic Studio Otautahi.

Ekho Laliah is the moniker of Pōneke based artist Shohana Saeed Swortzel.
