Rising rock sensation How to Human is thrilled to announce the release of their highly anticipated new single, Handstand, available on all major streaming platforms from 6th of September 2024.

Handstand marks a bold new chapter for How to Human, showcasing the band's signature blend of powerful rock melodies and evocative lyrics. Frontman Arlo Baylis delivers a vocal performance that is both raw and captivating, perfectly complemented by Lars Von Espy's searing guitar riffs, Si Randall's driving bass lines, Fergus Cardwell-Dray's atmospheric keys, and Joe Gilmartin's dynamic drumming.

The track delves into themes of chaos and anticipation, capturing the essence of the band's innovative sound. "This song represents the crazy journey one takes when overindulging in psychedelics," says Von Espy. "We wanted to create something that resonates with our listeners on a situational level, both musically and emotionally."

Recorded at Wellington's Imperial Studios Handstand was produced and engineered by Von Espy, with the drums recorded at Wellington’s renowned recording studio The Armoury by Troy Kelly, with mastering by Chris Chetland at KOG Studio. The result is a polished yet gritty sound that stays true to How to Human's rock roots while pushing the boundaries of the genre.

To celebrate the release, How to Human will be supporting Government Pest with a special live performance at Snails in Palmerston North on 7th of September. Fans can expect an unforgettable night of music, with the band performing Handstand live, along with other favorites from their repertoire.
