Celine's signature sound verges on chaos, with an off-kilter bottom end, yet they somehow keep the chaos just this side of a musical apocalypse, thanks to Rob Lundon's seductive songcraft. The band drifts in and out of catchy riffs, blending noise with unorthodox tunings, bordering on the post-punk experimental – but with melodies to burn.

They're regulars at the dive venues in town, from Whammy Bar to Ding Dong Lounge. Recently, supporting Mogwai at the Powerstation, then supporting Dick Move for First Thursday’s Pocket Park on K Road.

Lyricist Rob Lundon says of Silver Girl, "It’s an opposites attract song about my fiancé 'the runaway'. She is perfectly presented, has a place for everything, and always dated corporate guys – but she now lives with a loose unit, by most people’s measuring stick."

"Recording-wise we wanted an MC5 feel, hence the brashness."
