The Aotearoa Music Awards are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2025 are now open. Artists and their teams are invited to submit their nominations by 5pm on Friday 20 December 2024. The eligibility period for AMA 2025 is 1 January 2024–31 December 2024 (one calendar year).

AMA 2025 will take place on Thursday 29 May 2024 at the Viaduct Events Centre in Tāmaki Makaurau – closing out Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa | New Zealand Music Month in style.

2025 also marks 60 years of the Music Awards – and 50 years of the Official Music Charts in Aotearoa. They can’t wait to celebrate these historic milestones with the music community at AMA 2025and to share the excitement with audiences across the motu.

Aotearoa Music Awards are excited to once again partner with RNZ to livestream the event via rnz.co.nz and across its social media channels. The livestream is funded by Irirangi Te Motu | NZ On Air and Te Māngai Paho, whose support enables us to produce the AMA event.

The Aotearoa Music Awards is the annual showcase event for the music industry, celebrating artists and music from Aotearoa. The event recognises the biggest musical successes of the year while also providing a platform to promote emerging artists.
