Saint Mercury & Freya Pinkerton Release New EP This Sunday

29 November 2024 - 0 Comments

Alba Forever is a four-track EP made by Tamaki-based producer Saint Mercury and vocalist Freya Pinkerton. The project is the first collaboration from the two artists who capture Freya's moods of frustration, childhood folklore and vulnerabilities from her personal diary delivered through her blurred rich vocals. In unison with the ethereal moods of Saint Mercury’s gloomy downbeat rhythms her story is told in its most honest form in Place Me Back Together and Street Lights.

Pre-Save Here

In the final two compositions Voice of Odin and Bones of Rhythm we are taken to another world inspired from their collective Irish, Norse and Scottish ancestries. Saint decorates Voice of Odin with traditional folk instruments over heavy drums and Freya’s voice feels like its coming to us through the mountains. Bones of Rhythm reaches 135bpm manifesting as an experimental breakbeat driver enchanted by feminine and masculine forces.
