Just Janie releases her new single Musings in the Breakfast Aisle on January 31.
Musings in the Breakfast Aisle is at its core a song about indecisiveness. “It’s a song about getting to know someone, wanting them to stay for lunch, maybe get dinner but they can’t even commit to breakfast” says Janie.
Musings in the Breakfast Aisle was selected to be recorded and produced as part of the OMAP programme in Ōtautahi, facilitated by Saltbox Studios alongside RDU 98.5FM and with the support of the Christchurch City Council.
Musings in the Breakfast Aisle is Just Janie’s first release following her successful debut EP Muse and Musician, released in July 2024 and garnering significant success with over half a million streams and her double single with Pōneke based Musician Sig Wilder Sylvia. 2024 saw Just Janie embark on two nationwide tours: The ‘Love Letter to Myself’ tour (Jan- Mar 24) and the ‘The Sylvia Tour’ (Sept-Oct 24) alongside Sig Wilder.
