RHYTHMETHOD NEW RELEASES:

ALOE BLACC ~ Good Things

If you’ve watched HBO's recent series 'How to Make It in America,' then you already know Aloe Blacc. His irresistible tune 'I Need a Dollar' was the show's theme song. Fortunately Blacc knows how to take some momentum and run with it, his new album builds on that lead single's potent mixture of soulful vocals, hip-hop sonics and laidback grooves. Buy this if you like; Curtis Mayfield, Mayer Hawthorne, The Opensouls, Sharon Jones & Marvin Gaye.

BLONDE REDHEAD ~ Penny Sparkle

Poised, atmospheric synth-pop. Buy this if you like; Goldfrapp, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan and Bjork.

DEERHUNTER ~ Halcyon Digest

The sound is plenty lush & layered and what it lacks in "rockers", it makes up for in a quieter headphone ambiance. Halcyon Digest is a gorgeous palatable pop album. Buy this if you like; Atlas Sound, The Fall, John Lennon & Guided By Voices. Watch the official video for 'Helicopter'

GLASSER ~ Ring

Exquisite, captivating pop music with pure, crystalline female vocals which have won very favourable comparisons to Bjork and Au Revoir Simone. There's a very wide appeal to Glasser's sound; from soaring choral arrangements set to fizzing Four Tet-alike rhythms or naturally folksy cadence of disparate elements to boldly up-to-the-minute yet unconventional synthpop diamonds, there’s a blatant Fever Ray inspired track and even lilting Afrobeat. Buy this if you like; The XX,Four Tet or Bjork.

ZERO T ~ Fabriclive.52

Though mostly loyal to jungle and drum & bass, Zero T has always tried to ignore genre boundaries and play whatever feels right, a style of DJing he considers to be on the rise. FabricLive 52 showcases this free-flowing method of DJing, weaving between jungle and drum & bass at first and then moving into garage, dubstep, house and even hip-hop.

STAFF PICK!!!
DYLAN LEBLANC ~ PAUPERS FIELD

Paupers Field is Dylan's debut album released through Rough Trade. LeBlanc's influences include Spooner Oldham, Neil Young, and Townes Van Zandt. He grew up hanging out amongst the session musicians at Fame Studios, and by the age of 15 he was on the road touring on his own, honing his craft in every backwater joint he could get to. By the age of 18 he was signed to Fame publishing. He then went on to write, record, and produce his debut album all before he turned 20. The perfect accompaniment for a cold beer in the sun, this is essential listening for anyone into Southern Roots and Country soul.
