EMMA PAKI –TRINITY

Singer songwriter Emma Paki needs no introduction but just like removing your shoes as you enter a house, you must remove your inhibitions to enter hers. She has received national honours as ‘Best Songwriter’ and ‘Most Promising Female Vocalist’ and ‘Best Music Video’ with her hit single ‘System Virtue’. The accolades continued in `94 when her Neil Finn produced single ‘Greenstone’ topped the charts, followed closely by her debut album “Oxygen of Love”, earning her a ‘Mana Maori Award’ in 1996. As one of Aotearoa music's most formidable talents, Emma is the undisputed pioneer of our singer and songwriter darlings.

PIEBALD – II

Piebald started as a hardcore band in the same scene that produced legends Converge. The band released a ton of songs throughout their decorated career. Some of these songs are hard to find because they are out of print now. Well, not anymore. Rise Records is pleased to announce the re-release of Piebald’s extensive back catalog. 3 volumes, “Volume II” features 2 discs containing tracks from their early years including the album "If It Weren't For Venetian Blinds It Would be Curtains For Us All" also included are covers of Slayer, Jawbreaker and Weezer.

MISS MAY I – MONUMENT

A year after breaking out into the scene, Miss May I have returned with their sophomore effort "Monument".. Borrowing from a wider range of genres, the new album touches upon parts of thrash merged with melody and metalcore goodness. The intensity on “Monument” is unmatched by any metal release this year and all that emotion will be unhinged live this summer on the "Back To Your Roots Tour" as the band direct supports for The Devil Wears Prada on their full US tour. Watch as these young guns become the next big thing in metal in 2010.

For Fans of: The Devil Wears Prada, Bleeding Through, Parkway Drive
