Real Groovy Wellington are very excited to announce that TrinityRoots will be performing an acoustic set in-store at 2pm this Sunday the 24th!! They're in town this weekend for their sellout shows. They were Real Groovy Wellington's first in-store band to play way back in 1999. So go on down and be part of it!! And speaking of Groovy… Real Groovy Christchurch are so close to re-opening in a brand new venue - well done guys, we can't wait!!!

Brand new 2010 album from the LA dream punk duo. While it's loud and experimental, the melodies found here are also more delicate and precise… And, it's their best record yet. Buy this if you like: Atlas Sounds, Health & Jay Reatard.

BROKEN RECORDS ~ LetMeComeHom
The Edinburgh six-piece's 2nd album is an aggressively sparse sound with greater emphasis on rhythms. Buy this if you like: Arcade Fire & The National.

MOONDOGGIES ~ Tidelands
The Seattle quartets second full-length is awash in indelible three-part harmonies, serious pedal steel and heart-rending contemplations. Buy this if you like: Neil Young, Traveling Wilburys & Band of Horses.

DROP THE LIME ~ Fabriclive.53
Reflecting Drop The Lime's mosaic of musical styles, veering between dubstep, electro and classic house while fitting in odd selections like "I Want Candy" by The Strangeloves and "Rock Around The Clock" by Bill Haley & His Comets. The mix features a smattering of Venezia's own productions as well, including previously unreleased remixes.

DAM FUNK ~ Adolescent Funk
Dam Funk been recording for over two decades, developing his work to his own taste, and using equipment like the Korg M1, Linn Drum, and Casio SK-1 since the days when many other musicians considered them novelty electronics rather than instruments.  At the request of Stones Throw's head honcho Peanut Butter Wolf, Dam went through many of these recordings, all made on cassette, going back to his teenage years… The result is Dam-Fun's Adolescent Funk, a 14-track album recorded between 1988 and 1992.

BRUCE HAACK ~ Farad: The Electric Voice
Collected released and unreleased vocoder recordings, 1970-1982, from electronic music pioneer Bruce Haack. Specifically focusing on tracks using Haack's self-made vocoder, which he named "Farad." This was the one of the first truly musical vocoders, and first to be used on a pop album, pre-dating Kraftwerk's Autobahn by several years.

Plus we now have Aloe Blaccs 'Good Things' on vinyl!

HOGSNORT RUPERT ~ A Touch Of Hoggers
Cheeky chaps; Hogsnort Rupert are a well known New Zealand band which formed in 1968. A Touch Of Hoggers is a selection of recordings from the past 40 years, spanning five decades featuring all their fun hits including New Zealand's biggest selling hit of 1970 'Pretty Girl', 'Life Begins At 40' and 'Auntie Alice' to name but a few.

KIMMIE RHODES ~ Walls Fall Down
On her 12th solo album Kimmie Rhodes delivers a superb set of all new recordings, with nine self-penned songs never before heard, a Townes Van Zandt classic and a new tune written by Rodney Crowell. Buy this if you like: Emmylous Harris, Dixie Chicks & Patty Griffin.

HASSAN ERRAJI ~ Awal Mara
Hassan Erraji is a blind Moroccan Master Musician - a singer songwriter, multi instrumentalist, entertainer, arranger and composer with a highly respected international reputation. "part oud-flailing Hendrix, part transmitter of ancient culture" - World Village

CHUCHO VALDES ~ Chucho's Steps
Cuban Chucho's new album with jazz ensemble the Afro-Cuban Messengers spans a broad spectrum of musical traditions, and each member of the 8-piece ensemble plays impeccably both individually and as part of this very, very rhythmically orchestrated tour de force of a world-class and inspirational set of music.

ARVO PART ~ Tabula Rasa
To mark Arvo Part's 75th Birthday, this special edition of the 1977 recorded and 1984 ECM release has been produced. The original recording is accompanied by facsimiles of Part's handwritten manuscripts for Tabula Rasa and Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten published for the first time as well as study scores of the albums four works, Arvo Part's complete ECM discography with corresponding publishing details and a new essay by Paul Griffiths. Read the excellent article dedicated to Arvo Pärt which was published in the New York Times magazine this Sunday past.

Originally issued in the Century series in 2005, this Early Music set (10 CDs and more than 12 hours listening) by the artists of Harmonia Mundi now returns to invite you to travel the centuries in music.
