Proudly presented by Head Like A Hole (HLAH), the Kings Arms, 95bFM and the Groove Guide 'Swagger Of Thieves' is a full throttle New Years Eve mini-festival where the Kings Arms is opening its big hearted rock n roll bosom to celebrate the start of another year of great music.
Featuring Head Like A Hole, Luger Boa, Cairo Knife Fight, The Dirty Sweets, Double Barrelled, Gundry Blues and rock DJ's the doors open at 3pm on Dec 31st 2010 so make a day of it and spend the afternoon in the garden bar with great DJ's, good food, cold beer, the odd Jagermeister and your best mates.
Head Like A Hole return to everyone's favourite bastion of rock n roll for a New Years Eve show that doubles as their release party for new single "Swagger Of Thieves". Older, hairier and none the wiser, the guitars are strapped on, the amps plugged in, a new album is started. Consider yourself warned: Head Like A Hole are back with a vengeance and a non-mission statement of "lets rock, but not like those other f***s".
Luger Boa - considered a lethal combination of flesh, wood, wire and steel, Luger Boa return home after their national tour to see in the New Year with a PA slapping, light melting set.
Cairo Knife Fight - the band on everyones lips have just returned from a couple of blistering shows in New York. This two-piece is perfect for the bill by making enough noise for eight and will be showcasing new songs off their upcoming album before returning back to the States in the New Year.
The Dirty Sweets - prehistorically primitive rock is back in the form of a bunch of bogans from the boonies who are set to kick your arse with their irony-free, signature take on rock and metal.
Double Barrelled - hailing from the seedy underbelly of central Auckland and influenced by rocking tunes and beer drinking, they've taken it upon themselves to wake you motherf*****s up.
Gundry Blues - joining this great line-up is Aucklands finest blue-grass country outfit. Gundry Blues will ease everyone into the evening, taking comfort in harmonies, banjos and acoustic guitars.
With Head Like A Hole taking the stage just before midnight, this will undoubtedly be an insane night out, without even having to leave town!
