RHYTHMETHOD NEW RELEASES:

TWIN SHADOW ~ Forget

Over the course of 11 sublime tracks Twin Shadow mostly sticks with a small collection of synth sounds - strings, organ, piano, and brass - along with electric guitar and drum machine. The instruments are clean, shimmery, and carefully placed. Buy this if you like: Echo and the Bunnymen, Depeche Mode, Morrissey & The XX.

THE TRONS ~ The Trons

Debut album from the Hamilton “band”.The songs are all original and influenced by the likes of the White Stripes, the Clean, Stooges, and Stereolab. In true garage form they have all been recorded “live”, one take, with no studio jiggery pokery, capturing the sounds of the mechanisms and their nuts and bolts rhythms.

RECLOOSE ~ Early Works

This compilation celebrates Recloose’s early works from the late 90’s through to the early 00’s, including his best music from that period, both released and unreleased. This CD once again solidifies Recloose’s talent for merging electronic music with just about any preceding form of music: jazz, reggae/dub and soul.

THE FALL The Wonderful And Frightening World Of The Fall
(4 CD Omnibus Edition)

Re-mastered from the 1984 studio analogue tapes and restored to its original nine song format with all additional tracks on Disc 2. Disc 3 gathers all the relevant BBC sessions: not only a predictable John Peel session recorded in December 1983 (the earliest recordings of TWAFWOTF material) but also previously unreleased sessions from David Jensen and Janice Long as well as a 'Saturday Live' recording. Disc 4 is a live recording made by VPRO radio at Pandora's Music Box festival in The Netherlands and is remarkably perky considering The Fall took to the stage for their headline set at 3.15am on a Sunday morning.

BALMORHEA ~ All Is Wild, All Is Silent

A stunning cinematic album. The layering of piano, cello, violin, acoustic guitar, restrained drums, hand claps and distant vocal harmonies evokes feelings of exaltation and remorse all in one poignant go. Buy this if you like: Sigur Rós, Arvo Pärt, Steve Reich and Brian Eno.

SCOTT MATTHEW ~ There Is An Ocean…

Orchestral string arrangements, acoustic guitar, accordion, piano, ukulele and minimal percussion create the backing to Scott’s melancholic poetic lyrics all sung in his deep, breathy – sometimes androgynous - baritone. Buy this if you like: David Bowie, Morrissey, Elva Snow,Antony And The Johnsons, & Rufus Wainwright.

MADDSLINKY ~ Make A Change

A brand new collection of tracks from dubstep pioneer Maddslinky - aka Zed Bias. With soulful & bass heavy grooves that work as much on the dancefloor as they do to listen to. Buy this if you like: Dubstep, Skream, Omar & Mr Scruff

MADDSLINKY ~ Make Your Peace

A re-issue of the 2003 seminal dubstep album which heavily influenced the dubstep scene. This re issue features new artwork, with sleeve notes by renowned dubstep writer Blackdown (including an interview with Skream about the huge influence that this album had on him) plus new bonus material.  Buy this if you like: Dubstep, Skream, Omar & Mr Scruff
