Possessions & Obsessions is to be released as a 12” and digital EP through German label Permanent Vacation on 25 March. 

Parallel Dance Ensemble are the disco-not-disco duo Coco Solid and Bobbi Soxx (producer Robin Hannibal). The off-beat pair pump out jams that are funny, slightly sinister and sassy as hell. 

This is the pairs second release after dance anthems Weight Watchers and Turtle Pizza Cadillacs came out in 2009. This album was recorded in Auckland after Coco and Robin meet at the Red Bull Music Academy. 

The respected Danish producer from Owusu & Hannibal, Quadron & Boom Clap Bachelors joins forces with the underground New Zealand MC. Coco has already toured internationally playing alongside the likes of Spankrock, Sway, Girltalk, Flight of the Conchords, Beans, Roger Sisters and Acid Girls.

Together, PDE’s tongue in cheek joints have all the hallmarks of an early 80’s party. After their well-received 12” release in 2009, the duo now follow through with the steamy and synthed out 'Possessions & Obsessions'.
