Outsiders released their debut EP at their first show in July 2008. In the three years since the band has grown dramatically in cramped tour vans and on stages around the world. Following a belief that location will not hold them back, the band have toured the US/Europe/UK/ Australia and New Zealand constantly. The Outsiders have supported acts such as Nofx, Megadeth, Alkaline Trio, Against Me, Strike Anywhere, Lagwagon, Propagandhi, A Death in the Family, Smoke or Fire, The Flatliners and many more.

Playing everything from squats in East Germany to major music festivals such as The Fest 9 in the USA and No Sleep Till, as well as being featured in AMP Magazine (US), Groove Guide, Rip It Up and on Blank TV (US) and Juice TV (NZ).

The Words Will Write Themselves full length album was released in 2010 on Issac/Universal in New Zealand and heavy touring followed taking in New Zealand, Australia and the United States.

Monday September 26th 2011 will see the much anticipated release of the bands second EP, Shallow Graves through Deadboy Records/Universal.

The release showcases a more focused and progressive approach to a sound crafted through a love of Punk and Rock with heart. Bands such as Jawbreaker, The Replacements and Against Me have helped influence the emotive punk rock on display, while the songs within are those of a reflective band who have grown older but refuse to stop chasing what is just over the horizon. Experiences such as screaming their lungs out at house shows on the Canadian border, traversing highways of the Southern US states with bluegrass bands and dealing with Alligators in swamps outside venues in the United States have continued to stoke the fire of the band.

Worldwide release

The EP will also be released worldwide through Brooklyn New York based Anchorless Records. The band will play their last New Zealand shows for some time before heading to the United States for a two month tour that will include appearances at The Fest 10 in Florida, CMJ New York and touring with Cobra Skulls (Fat wreck Chords) and others.
