For those who have been waiting patiently for an album, a sneak preview is coming their way. Waikato 2009 York Street Band Experiment winners 'Knights of the DUB Table' are set to release the first single off their anticipated Debut album on the 30th of September 2011. The track titled 'Why' will be available for FREE download on amplifer.co.nz for one week only and will then be available for purchase (amplifier and Itunes).
All members of 'Knights of the DUB Table' made the collaborative decision to release this first single as a free download. The band see's it as their way to thank their loyal followers who have been there throughout the Knights musical journey and to also to give new listeners an incentive to hear the what the knights have to offer.
The track is one of 12 songs which will feature on the album titled 'Way of the D.U.B' due to be released on November the 1st.
'Why' is a powerful track that moves the listener with its dark undertones, thick bass lines and narrative lyrics. It has been described as a strong and enigmatic track which represents the heavier side of their sound.
Knights lead singer Mr Samy'samson (aka Reti Hedley) says he is excited about the release of this song and believes it pushes the boundaries.
"Why is a compelling song and showcases the edgier side of the Knights. A lot of work has gone into this album and I am excited about finally sharing the first taster with the public."
'Why' will be paired with an official video clip due to be launched on October 14th. For more about the release of this single, please visit www.facebook.com/knightsofthedubtable.
