Musical Maestro Tiki Taane returns with a re-release of his #1 Album In The World Of Light which features three bonus tracks, including the epic RWC remix of "My Lion".
Set for release on November 2nd, Tiki describes the album as a snap shot of the hectic year he has had so far.
Fresh off the back of the Rugby World Cup, Tiki fans can re-live the magic of epic track "My Lion (RWC Remix)" by Tiki & Optimus Gryme, featuring the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. Remixed especially for the Rugby World Cup Opening Ceremony in which over 4 billion people tuned in, this time-defining tune was recorded at York Street by some of NZ’s most respected sound engineers, with the amazing orchestral parts written by Victoria Kelly. In what Tiki describes as his “most challenging but rewarding mix he has ever undertaken,” the track was then mixed at his very own Tikidub Productions studio.
Fans will also be treated to bonus additions including Crushington’s monstrous remix of "Soundtrack To Forever", which has been smashing dance floors around the globe.
Finally, the album features a live edition of "Freedom To Sing" which was recorded & filmed at a show in Tauranga for NZ Music Month. Written about Tiki's controversial arrest, in which he was hand cuffed & jailed for singing NWA's "F#%@ the Police" at one of his private R18 concerts, Tiki has since had a positive mediation with the Tauranga Police. The charge of "disorderly behaviour, likely to incite violence" has been dropped, and the arrest deemed a “misunderstanding".
In The World Of Light the special edition album will be available in all good record stores and digitally from Tuesday 2nd November.
