Band & Musician News - Luckless Release New Single 'Hummingbird Heart'

Luckless Release New Single 'Hummingbird Heart'

01 November 2011 - 0 Comments

Luckless have emerged from the depths of underground indie bars to release their first single “Hummingbird Heart”.

A sombre affair, it’s a little Portishead, a little Mazzy Star, and perhaps a little PJ Harvey, with sparse beginnings opening up to an epic climax of reverb and distortion.

This is the first single off upcoming debut Luckless album, due to be released in March.  They have spent the year recording with Jordan Stone (Wilco, The Pajama Club, Liam Finn) at Roundhead Studios in Auckland, and playing to increasingly rapturous audiences throughout the North Island.

Luckless are embarking on a nation-wide tour in November, accompanied by Bond Street Bridge throughout.

A live video of Luckless performing another of the tracks from their album, “Fermina Daza”, is available below.
