Synth pop group Alex The Kid is promoting the release of its new EP Zombies, Time Travel & Big City Living via an interactive MusicHype web page.
Spokesman Dave Thomson says fans and newcomers to the band can choose album artwork themed on an allegiance to 'zombies' or 'steampunks'.
"When a user shares their fantasy preference, whether it's eating brains or wearing brass, on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, they are able to download the EP at no charge," he says. "Users can also engage in further online activities to get steampunk giveaways and bonus downloads."
Released on a steampunk-esque wooden USB drive, Zombies, Time Travel & Big City Living is a tongue-in-cheek exploration of past and present representations of the future in popular culture, set to catchy synth pop with a fresh and quirky sound. The EP has been mixed and produced by top electronic producer Ryan Beehre of Minuit.
