The band who were officially formed in 2010 (the year of the ninja), are made up of Richie Allan on lead guitar; Quasar on stunt guitar, keys and samples; Joe Brownless on drums; Stu and Fran Kora, from multi-platinum selling New Zealand band Kora on rhythm guitar and bass.
With a live show that has ninjas with laser beams shooting out of their fingers, The Heavy Metal Ninjas have already wowed audiences by opening for local acts such as Kora and Shihad.In 2010, the group performed at the G-TARanaki New Zealand Guitar Festival, alongside guitar legends Slash, Jennifer Batten and Vinnie Moore.
