To celebrate the announcement of their new album, The Black Seeds are offering fans the first single ‘Pippy Pip’ for free download for a limited time at
www.theblackseeds.com.
‘Pippy Pip’ has just been released to radio and comes from the forthcoming album ‘Dust and Dirt’. The album, due for release in NZ on 9 April (worldwide 13 April), is the bands fifth studio album and is the follow-up to 2008’s platinum-selling ‘Solid Ground’.
The 13-track album marks an exciting new chapter for the multi platinum selling Wellington band whose fan base has spread around the world in recent years.
Self recorded and produced in their Wellington studio, the album introduces new sounds and styles not heard on previous releases whilst retaining the trademark sound that has seen the band remain one of New Zealand’s premiere acts for the past decade.
‘’Working in our own studio gave us the freedom to get the best out of ourselves over a longer period of time, and to trial new techniques and tones with Mike Fabulous at the controls’’ says singer/guitarist
Barnaby Weir. ‘Dust And Dirt’ will be available from all good retailers on digital, CD, plus limited edition heavy weight 12’’ double gatefold vinyl.
Limited edition pre-sale packages will be available from the band’s website from 12 March.
New Zealand Release Tour Dates will be announced shortly. ‘Pippy Pip’ free download available now for a limited time from www.theblackseeds.com www.theblackseeds.comwww.facebook.com/theblackseedswww.twitter.com/theblackseeds
