Today Street Chant release their third single Sink, along with a b-side Good Sick/Bad Sick. Sink furthers the sound they developed with Frail Girls and shows once and for all, Street Chant aren't afraid of a good hook.
As is their tradition, the rhythm section is frantic and unstoppable, and the lyrics are snarky and playful. Telling tales of debaucherous, Auckland groundhog nights out.
Sink will come with two videos. The first is a Karaoke version - so you can all lean the words. The second, which will be released in a couple of weeks, features the karaoke version - but isn't actually the karaoke version…if that makes any sense.
Good Sick/Bad Sick is a non-album b-side recorded some time ago in a variety of locations…it might be a bit fuzzed up but don't worry, Street Chant aren't going all stoner rock on you.
For a limited time the singles are available as "pay what you want" from Bandcamp- or you can listen on Soundcloud

After a hectic 2011, which saw multiple offshore tours and lots of love for their debut album Means, Street Chant have headed back to the studio. They are slowly self producing and recording their as yet untitled sophomore full length. This is scheduled for release early in 2012.
Meanwhile, their new material is starting to take form. Back in May they released a double a-side 7" vinyl, with two accompanying videos to wide acclaim. Their sound has developed and they are ready to take on the world (or at least the Auckland CBD) once more.
Street Chant are also having a Christmas Party this Friday the 7th of December at the Whammy Bar - with special guests Raw Nerves, Las Tetas and Suren Unka.
And next year they play St Jerome's Laneway Festival in Auckland at Silo Park
