Band & Musician News - New single for PlasticGroove

26 March 2013 - 0 Comments

The release of Pointless by PlasticGroove brings an all consuming new beast to be tamed!

Fred's amazing lead guitar playing adds a different style of music; fusing indie with a solo that would not be out of place in a blues / rock song. Jeremy's driving bass, compliments the fast paced affair and he doesn't miss a beat.

The songs lyrics tell a slightly darker story than previous PlasticGroove singles focusing on a broken man with a sad state of family affairs. This element brings Tonys (singer) mysteriously adventurous early days in Sheffield into the mix.

This was recorded partly at PlasticGroove's studio and finalised at Matrix Digital in Wellington.

The recording process starts on the computer laying down drums, synth, guitar, etc... to form the shell. It's then transported to the other studio and everything is re-recorded over the top with real instruments. This gives a unique blended sound with great depth.

The album is due for release later this year.
