DEAD DREAMERS SET TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM,
NO CLOSURE FOR OPEN ENDS
VIA SHOCK RECORDS ON SEPTEMBER 27
In early 2012 after playing in other local bands, Dead Dreamers formed with the common interest of pushing themselves beyond the typical level of New Zealand heavy bands.
Since releasing their debut EP This Is An Awakening, and refining their energetic live show, they have created a massive amount of interest in their unique blend of atmospheric metalcore/post-hardcore, quickly becoming one of the most promising heavy acts in the country.
They were fortunate enough to move into a large house on the outskirts of Hamilton, which they turned into a safe haven for traveling bands. The house, which was nick named 'Dreamers Estate,' started to host large house shows where bands such as Stray from the Path, In Hearts Wake, Antagonist A.D, Depths and many more. Packing out the house on several occasions it’s also the setting for their music video Lost And Found.
After a significant line-up change, Dead Dreamers have been working relentlessly on their debut full length album No Closure For Open Ends. Recorded by Nathan Sowter (Blindspott, Antagonist A.D, Kids in Space, Barracks) and mixed/mastered in America by Pete Rutcho (The Ghost Inside, Bury Your Dead).
The album shows a change in direction from the previous release showcasing solid song writing. Lyrical themes transcend from one stage of their personal lives to the next. With a tasteful blend of mosh and melody, it’s a release that translates well live and on record alike.
The band has now relocated to the UK with ambitions of breaking into the international market. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled and expect to hear a lot more from Dead Dreamers.
No Closure For Open Ends is set for release on September 27 via Shock Records.
