Bailterspace release their new album Trinine on Arch Hill Recordings today.
Trinine was recorded in New York prior to their last album Strobosphere. It features all three original members - Alister Parker, John Halvorsen and Bent McLachlan.
Earlier this year Bailterspace returned to New Zealand and played three shows including St Jerome's Laneway Festival and shows in Auckland and Wellington. These were the first New Zealand shows in thirteen years. You can check out some great live footage here shot/recorded by 95bFM and Radio New Zealand.
All three Bailterspace members were also in The Gordons, who recently won the Independent Music NZ Classic Album award. John and Brent were also in Skeptics, who are featured in a recent documentary Sheen of Gold. Flying Nun is reissuing both the albums, Amalgam and III.
Forming in 1987, Bailterspace recorded seven albums and EPs including Tanker, Thermos, Robot World, Votura, Wammo, Capsul and Solar 3. These were released on both Matador Records and Flying Nun Records.
Trinine is available on vinyl, CD and digital from Flying Out and good record stores and online retailers.
