Thomas Oliver performs International You Day as a tribute to Tony Sly, songwriter and frontman for Californian punk band, No Use For A Name, a favourite band of Oliver's as a teenager. Tony Sly died on August 1, 2012.

"It was the first time I had been truly and deeply saddened by the death of a musician in my lifetime. His songs are a passionate part of my youth, and my life" says Oliver.

Punk bands from all around the world joined in releasing a tribute album to Tony Sly on the 29th of October this year, released on Fat Wreck Chords. Each artist covered one of Sly's songs. Artists included NoFX, Strung Out, Bad Religion, Rise Against, Frank Turner, Lagwagon and more.

Thomas Oliver joins them with his own unofficial tribute.

"I distinctly remember the first time I heard No Use For A Name's International You Day the day it was released. It's an amazingly honest song, and it was such a pleasure to interpret it for for solo Weissenborn and voice. Rest in peace, Tony Sly."
