Dream-pop princess Savannah has just released her first EP, and it sounds like the start of something sparkling and new.
Following up on her breakthrough single I’ll Never Know, Savannah's debut EP Oxygen is solidifying her place in the New Zealand musical landscape, as she creates meaningfuland relatable pop music, which is also catchy AF.
The skillfully written 5-track project takes the listener on a journey through Savannah’s mind, through the experiences of youth, where falling in and out of love is the norm. Her writing style is refreshingly honest and direct. Savannah sings of long distance online relationships and unrequited love, all the emotions that are sure to resonate with youth the world over.
“I want people to be able to listen to this EP and feel like someone understands them, and someone is there for them.”
The EP flows perfectly, all the production is high-end and synth driven, with fat basslines effortlessly backing up Savannah’s raspy and smooth vocals. The songs are right up there with any release from Halsey or Melanie Martinez, who are some of Savannah’s biggest inspirations. Savannah is a part of this current wave of pop artists who enjoy creating dynamic empowering music. We can’t wait to hear more..
