Habit tells a story of a day in the life of a person trying to get by. The song is co-written by NZ Singer-songwriters, Bekah and Noema.
The music video (released 14/12/17) examines sections of the human condition in a colourful and humorous way that moves so fast, it is hard to look away.
A collage of snapshots create the impression of "bad" habits. Images that will make you feel slightly uncomfortable flash by in an aesthetically pleasing way, alluding to the idea of finding beauty or acceptance in our quirks and "bad habits".
From her use of colour to the variety of subject matter, Bekah has created the kind of video you want to watch over again, and all on a low/no budget.
Following the release of her first music video for the single Wanna Play in November 2016, NZ Based Soul-Pop singer-songwriter and front woman of band The BackChat has put together a fast-paced, visual story to accompany the first single off her forthcoming collaborative mixtape.
The mixtape, Conversation, features four songs, all co-written with musical colleagues, and is set for release mid-late December.
Video created by Bekah's media production company, Low Key Media NZ.
