February 2018 will see NZ Country / Southern Hard Rocker, Robby Thorne release his debut album The White Thorne Track.
After a music career spanning 14 years performing in local punk, rock & metal bands (including Tauranga’s Puppeteer) Robby Thorne has begun the solo journey with a unique sound all of his own.
Alex Moulton of muzic.net.nzmakes note of this sound whilst reviewing the album’s title track single which was released in November 2017: “Thorne's vocal style has a very distinctive "twang" that adds power to his vocals and gives that southern cowboy sound” & “it is reminiscent of both The Offspring's Dexter Holland, and Metallica's James Hetfield.” Full single review here
The album brings together the sound of all Robby Thorne’s influences from rock / metal acts like Metallica through to Country / Southrern rock superstars like Lynyrd Skynyrd & will be available on the 17th February 2018 on all major digital services.
Robby Thorne will be on tour to celebrate the release from 20thJanuary in Wellington & concluding in Auckland on the 24th February with a full album release party.
