The first album for 2018... Rockin’ On A Level Surface.
14 brand new tracks recorded and produced by Craig Payne during the later half of 2017.
Rockin’ On A Level Surface goes ‘live’ at midnight January 1st 2018 heralding in the new year with a definite bang!
The title track features some nice piano, brass and timpani work which leads nicely into All For Suzie, another track written for Craig’s wife who is a constant source of good ideas for songs and fun to be with.
The album glides through a few different genres and personal favourites are Party For One which came about a few years ago when Craig’s wife’s ‘Crazy Ex’ kept sending txts of a dubious nature generally during a ‘Party For One’ which is basically getting pissed on your own.
Many Hats is more of an autobiographical nature and acknowledges the many different areas Craig has worked in over the years... a man of ‘Many Hats’ indeed.
The closing track for the album Flying has certainly survived the test of time, written by Craig in 1978 which makes it a respectable 40 years young and still standing up straight musically.
Rockin’ On A Level Surface is an absolute must buy at a time when many people have iTunes vouchers post Christmas... so indulge yourselves and download what hopefully is the ‘first’ album in the world for 2018.
