Singer-songwriter and online social media personality, Kirikatt is releasing her first debut single You Got Me produced by New Zealand’s own Edyonthebeat.
She brings her influences of Mariah Carey, Ella Mai and Kehlani to the table with this sultry hit just in time for the summer. You can expect a story telling 2000’s R&B vibe taking you down memory lane. Kirikatt has had a stellar year so far, performing at the world-famous Woodford Folk Festival with award winning beatboxer Hope One, headlining the Qld Poetry Festival, and landing the front page of their magazine, creating a new merchandise lip-ring line Juju Lips AU and catapulting her social media status to over 2000 snapchat followers, 2500 Facebook fans, and 100 new YouTube subscribers. Kirikatt, originally known as Kiri Cooper is 24 years old and from Auckland. She’s now based in Brisbane and is the next up-coming R&B artist to hit the industry. “I really miss that old school storytelling R&B”.This track will be the beginning of getting to know who Kiri is and her journey. Edyonthebeat reached out to Kiri after coming across one of her viral singing videos on Facebook, proposing a collaboration, shortly after You Got Me came to fruition. Edy works closely with heavyweights Donnell Lewis & Mikey Mayz amongst many other up and coming artists.
