Pale Lady announce their debut EP and national tour. The Wellington band, comprised of music students from Massey University, will be putting out the first multi track release ever recorded in the new studio facility on campus. The digital release date is set for the 21st of June, with the first of six shows following shortly after in Wellington on the 23rd.
The EP is a five track, hard hitting, modern rock adventure, created with the purpose of bringing a fresh perspective to the New Zealand rock scene. Every track is different from the rest, with upbeat, catchy melodies, dark, brooding soundscapes and virtuosic guitar solos. Their first collection of work displays the unusual combination of influences that they bring from their different musical backgrounds. UK mixing engineer Tarrant Shepherd produced the project, bringing the songs to life with his experience and specialisation in rock music.
Founded in late 2016, Pale Lady consists of four rock fanatics who found themselves in the same music degree. As well as writing for the EP, the band has honed their live performance through 42 separate gigs since their conception. However, the release of‘Told To Fold’ will take them on their first tour.
