A moving and deeply personal song about a phone call Michael Murphy had with his dad, who had just been diagnosed with cancer. “The lyrics in both verses replicate the initial conversation between us and alternate between my dad and I narrating,” explains Murphy.

“This is the most raw, emotional and honest song I have ever written lyrically but is probably the one I am most proud of to date,” he says.

Prologue is the culmination of three years of hard graft by one of the most exhilarating bands on the scene right now. A snapshot of where the Auckland-based five piece is at and a sign of what’s still to come.

It draws from everything Written By Wolves have experienced since their inception and pushes forward with the intention of exciting fans about what’s still in store.
