Young Lyre has today released their latest music video for the single Nobody Else.
The video is premiering with Radio New Zealand HERE
The five-piece Kiwi band have released an expansive, visually striking video that perfectly captures the feeling of escaping the rest of the world with your favourite person.
Geographically ambiguous, the video was shot in various locations throughout the Middle East and Europe to create a wandering, dreamlike effect.
Nobody Else is an upbeat tune with energetic rhythm, that still manages to convey a longing, adventurous feeling. It comes as
another exciting instalment of the band’s soon-to-be released EP.
“The song was sitting pretty well before we got in the studio,” says Kiran Rai - who also plays guitar and synth. “We recorded it at Roundhead Studios in their Brick Room. It felt like a great space for us to work in, and we've worked with Simon (Gooding – producer) for a long time, so we've got a really good relationship with him. It all came together pretty organically.”
With sounds that mirror bands such as Phoenix and Tame Impala, Young Lyre demonstrates the power of live instrumentation blended with synth and electronic elements.
Nobody Else follows the release of Astore, the first single from the upcoming EP, which has clocked impressive numbers on streaming platforms.
