Hailed as “The next best pop party to come out of New Zealand” (Music Nation), Christchurch singer-songwriter SHAYNA’s latest release I Know hits your ‘playful fempowerment’ heart in all the right places, as signature smooth vocals bounce over a strong melody and killer pop production.

Co-written by M Basa (Aloe Blacc, Paxton Ingram & Lucian) and Alex Wildwood (SACHI, NIKA), and produced by Wildwood, the inspiration for ‘I Know’ came from a place of strength for SHAYNA.“It’s about ‘playing the player’, and feeling good about it.We’ve all had that someone who walks into our life and hits us like a whirlwind.It’s about not being afraid to say ‘I know who you are, I know what you do, and I know my worth.”

The music video was filmed and directed by award winning director Shae Sterling in tropical Vanuatu, and features international dancer and choreographer Carl Flavell,who recently performed alongside pop icons JLo, DJ Khaled & Cardi B at the Billboard Music Awards 2018.

An established full-time touring songwriter & musician, SHAYNA was a recent participant in APRA Songhubs 2019 international songwriting camp, and was a recent showcase artist at New Zealand's 'Going Global' Music Summit.

I Know comes after SHAYNA’s latest single Miles Away, which debuted on Apple Music’s Best of the Week and The A List:Pop playlists, as well as Spotify’s New Music Friday and New Pop Sounds. The single hit #10 in the Spotify NZ viral tracks & #2 on the Official NZ Top 40 Heatseekers Singles Chart in the first week of release.
