Friday 28 June sees the release of Big Kid by Kapiti artist Manzo.
The first single to be released ahead of Manzo’s third studio album Attachment, Big Kid is a light-hearted look in the mirror by songwriter and producer Alan Hodgetts.
“I make no apologies for not wanting to grow up.I’m sure this track will strike a chord with any man who still is - or wishes he was still a kid. Kiwi men can take themselves so seriously at times and I didn’t want to kick off the album campaign with something too deep or earnest. It’s a fun autobiographical track. That’s it!”
An equally fun video of the single will be available on Manzo’s YouTube channel on release.
The single features the emerging talent of vocalist Harrison Nicol, who is currently studying towards the NZ Diploma in Performing Arts (Musical Theatre) run through Te Auaha in Wellington City.
With the 11 track album Attachment and 4 track companion EP Beatniks on Toast releasing on 26 July, a live launch event in Wellington on 27 July, and more singles and videos releasing through to late August, it’s a very busy time for Manzo and the crew.
