Multi-award-winning band; Six60, have announced their involvement with the new Air New Zealand 'Air All Blacks' safety video which went live this morning.
From today, Air New Zealand passengers will hear the Six60 track; Universe, as the soundtrack for the airline’s iconic safety video. The track has never been heard before and is an exclusive for the airline.
It’s a pretty special moment for the band; “with the amount of touring and travelling we’ve done around New Zealand, we’ve watched the safety video a lot. It became something we talked about doing one day” says Matiu Walters, lead singer of Six60.
The Air All Blacks safety video takes place at the Air All Blacks HQ and includes some familiar faces, including the boys in black, their biggest fans, some legends of the game, and will inspire pride in the heart of Kiwi’s around the world.
Air New Zealand’s General Manager Global Brand & Content Marketing Jodi Williams says having Six60’s track Universe backing the latest safety video is the icing on the cake to an ironically Kiwi production.
“Air New Zealand is a huge fan of Six60 and we’re excited to have the new song on board our in flight entertainment from 1 August. The video is a fantastic celebration of some of the most prominent Kiwi names coming together to back the boys in black.”
