well i was watching C4 just now and that random annoying guy on select live announced that chad kroeger won some "ugliest male" award (which sucks, i dont think chad's that bad, i'm no nickleback fan, but they're alright compared to the other crap that gets played) but anyway, poll ideas...

worst/most annoying Tv presenter
Ugliest Male/Female in Nz Music (no actually,...bad idea )
funniest moment in NZ music (like this band where their toilet in their bus broke...i think it was the datsuns or something)
best cartoon on tv

what is it with new zealand and ugly tv presenters?

anywhere else in the world you hve to be drop dead gorgeous to get on tele, but here they go for the P>C thing and give every ugly fuq a shot.

take shortland street for eg.
aussie soaps have hot chic's all over the place.
shortland has two, and their gay.
whats that about?

As unfortunate as it may seem, some people may only know Matt from 8 Foot Sativa and they may not realise that he is now in Sinate.

What about a techy/gear poll:

List your 'Live' gear with 'BOUNCE'! (Equipment Violence Grading!).

(This could be quite fun while being quite informative too.)

What is the strongest/toughest/crappest guitar/bass, microphone, drum kit?

Do you have a guitar that simply will not break when you smash it?

What about a microphone that wont dent, it bounces, and still keeps going?

How about drum gear that is just plain crap, when someone jumps (or even falls) on it, hardware gets broken off...

I've always thought that that such a thing would make for good equipment endorsement:
eg "I use a 'Rob Thorne' signature Weta guitar 'cos it just won't come apart when I swing it like an axe against the wall!" HA!

No-where at the moment - there aren't any polls up on the site at the moment. When there is a poll on the site it is displayed in the right hand panel of each page.

When the new media page is completed there will be more polls on the site, so things will be changing - in the meantime if you have a poll you would like added to the site, reply to this post and we'll look at getting it up for you.

I'm needing to buy a drum kit, and would really like to get a poll going about equipment: I don't play drums but I sure as hell pack em up and down, carry, load and transport them, and now I need to buy a kit.
because I don't play, there is alot I prob don't realise 'comparison' wise: hardware, shells etc... for me the most important thing for a kit that is playing gigs and so being set up and down and transported all the time would be hardware: the stands, the nuts and bolts and screws: they need to be easy to use, strong but light, and durable. Can we please get a poll going where we can compare type, make and model and also where people can enter an 'other' in, that allows them to specify their particular 'kit' by typing it in. even just a drum hardware poll maybe eg. which Make (type/model/breed) do you think has the 'best/worst', 'easiest/hardest (to use)' hardware (ie. fasteners and stands) overall. of course it could become really complicated and detailed which might make it hard to manage, so keeping it simple and general would be the tricky trick!
