Tauraunga??

Hey

Does anyone know whether Tauraunga has a band scene going?

It's got around 100,000 people now - so it's got something going for it
(and probably not all of those people are pensioners!)

There are plenty of musicians and music lovers in the bop, I lived there recently, and there are a number of venues, depending on your style. I have a friend in a rock band who used to play frequently at brewers bar, at the mount. If you're serious about gigging there, the person to contact to get more information on this is Liam Ryan (yes, ex narcs band member) - he's running the music dept at the polytech. Or, you could ring the team at Mayers Music, they seem to have their fingers on the pulse.
