Your Ideal/Dream Band

Your dream combination of Vocalist, Rhythm Guitarist, Lead Guitarist, Bassist and Drummer in one ROCK band.

Mine:
Vox - Davey Havock (AFI)
Lead - Yngwie Malmsteen
Rhythm Guitar - Jade Puget (AFI)
Bass - Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Drums - Tre Cool (Greenday - The way they used to play, i don't know if he has anything to do with their current song writing.)

if i had to make up a band from NZ members, i would have ..

Singer = Chris from Redline
Guitarist = Grant from Epitome
Bass player = Rom from New Way Home
Drummer = Shelton from Blindspott.

personal opinion - i dont think they are the best at what they do, just would make a nice combination.

This topic started off cool, but why the hell would you turn it into NZMusic only? Thats just Sh*t...

Perfect band:

Vocals: Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, ex-Bloodbath, Pain)
Guitar: Destructhor (Myrkskog, Zyclon)
Guitar: Dan Swanö (Bloodbath)
Bass: Martin Mendez (Opeth)
Drums: Martin Lopez (Opeth)

Haha, not that you guys know any of them...

Bass Cozin Jims friend Mark who plays incredible bass but is frightened of playing in public. he would play on a wireless from the toilet

This is an interesting one. I can't be bothered going into details like who plays what BUT ....

I would like a band that is a cross between The Beach Boys and Salmonella Dub.

Think about it ......

Amen. When writing the intitial post for this thread i actually considered also writing something along the lines of 'and Julius don't write yourself'. Some people are just so predictable.

Yeah please not NZ music, that would kinda kill it.

(What band is Phil Sneed in?)

Neverfindme - Cool Name Bro!! Confused

And Tell Me Neverfindme why would NZ music kinda kill it - please explain!!!

Im sure alot of hard working NZ Artists would like to know.

As for JULIUS he dont really care what ye think cause your just another Neverfindme fish in the sea But its good to see Julius is never far from your thoughts and maybe some day some one will find you and actually give a f**k what you think and then you can change your name to someonefoundme and live happy eva after.

NZ music would QUOTE kinda kill it UNQUOTE (the key word being KINDA). Why? Because in terms of the world, NZ has an insignificant amount of decent bands and musicians and by limiting the thread then to just NZ musicians the "Ideal/Dream" band is probably not possible anymore and guess what i was interested in finding out...
Name me one NZ band who are the best at what they do in their genres. I have nothing against NZ music but i don't think it's quite made it yet on an meaningful international scale. Kudos to bands such as Miscreant and Epitome (just examples i know there are more) who are working hard and as a result are rapidally on the rise. Who knows perhaps they will 'make it big' one day.

Hopefully that is explanation enough for you. If not, just say so (and give me some specific points you want discussed) and i'll be glad to.

As for the name thing, what the hell? I didn't insult that. Looks like you've got some serious emo boy rage which appears to need some ventilation.

Yep. Thats exactly it. No matter how patriotic or pro nz music you get, the fact is, NZ simply does not have what it takes to compete on the international scale...

I think no one likes Julius, so he makes up for it by liking himself and blowing his own horn... What a loser... Laughing
