people in bands, read me Posted: Thu Jan 26, 2006 9:21 pm i'm super fucken bored, guys, so i thoguth i'd make this post. I was sitting here reading a story of the year interview on the net and it go me thinking, do yous find you have more fun with your band mates, than you do your other mates that aren't in your band? Like things always seem funnier when you're iwth your band mates? I'd have to say I do, like....some of the funnest times i've had with my band mates, aye....like rockquest 05, that was wicked, let me tell you how much fun we had.... We got to Rotorua, had our sound check and then we had 3 hours to waste before we had to be back at the venue, so we went up town and jus had fun, for instance....it was pissing down and we got our bass player to jump in a trolley(the idiot he is, he did) and then we pushed him into the car park where there was no shelter and ran off and watched him struggle to get out in the pissin down rain, lol, then all 5 of us stood in a line on the street with our pants down(boxers up of course) and jus greated people with a bow as they walked past. Then at the actual venue after we played, we all ran around the whole building with water bottles jus having the meanest water fight and then when our drummer won best drummer we went up on stage soaked and it looked like i had pissed myself. But other than that we just had fun, aye. More fun than i think i've had with my "not band member" mates. Another thing....when you're in a band you can make gay remarks and people will just laugh it off, like at school our drummer would be standin in line in the tuck shop and one of us would run up and hump his leg(no we're not gay, we all had girlfriends at the time) and everyone would just laugh at us, where as if anyone else would've done that everyone would've been like "what a homo, ew go away" So yea, my long post....anyone agree? |

RE: people in bands, read me Posted: Thu Jan 26, 2006 9:36 pm excatly, like whenever we got interviewed they'd be like "who's the most reliable person in the band?" and we'd be like "oh not blah blah they're just stupid n clumsy" and we'd all laugh and just diss the hell out of each other and they'd laugh, i miss being in a band |

RE: people in bands, read me Posted: Wed Feb 15, 2006 9:54 am bro....playing rockquest will be a highlight of '06 for you, man. Everyone cheers for you and moshes to you and they don't even know who you are, that's rad, even better....i threw my guitar picks off stage and everyone was trying to grab them.lol. My band had some trouble last year....cos we were a 5 piece punk band. 4 maori guys and our bassists, who's english and these skin heads were standing at the front of the stage when we played and they were like "fuck you blacks, get off the stage" but we still played. |

RE: people in bands, read me Posted: Mon Feb 20, 2006 10:18 am Our guitarist fuckin rocks aye!!! I have never ever seen anyone as good as him and he is 17 and been playing for 9 years, when he started, he told me, he couldn't even reach the end of the fret-board. Lol. He uses Classical music for inspiration. It sounds absolutely brilliant especially his solos. Which one does Rage go to because our school goes to Tauranga's Rockquest.. RE: people in bands, read me Posted: Mon Feb 20, 2006 11:10 am Rage play at the rotorua one. It's kool having guitarists in ur band that rock, aye, cos it takes all the attention off the singer. our set up was funny when we 1st started we had 2 vocalists(yip all they did was vocals...no instruments) a bassist, guiarist and a drummer....5 months later we got rid of 1 singer and then 1 month later we put the bassist on lead guitar, i went to 2nd guitar and vocals and our lead singer went to bass and shared vocals and our drummer stayed as he was lol |
