dudes and black nails?

How many of you GUYS on here paint your nails black? I only do it when my band is playing a pretty big gig. Teachers at school use to give me so much shit last year cos apparently "nail polish" isn't allowed at skool cos it's not part of the uniform. They threatend to kick me out of skool for it. I didn't care still wore it and my piercings.

I paint 2 nails on each hand for gigs dont know why but thats just what i do!

I dont paint my nails but i wear makeup at gigs eg black eyeliner
Real men wear eyelines and pink tee's

why do people do that, dont they realize how stupid it looks? We have enough proof that it does nothing for the music...i mean, look at avril lavigne, ashlee simpson, good charlotte, my chemical romance, etc. You wanna be like THEM? Id say keep it real all the way and focus on the guitar shredding, not what your nails look like. Imagine how stupid you'd look if someone came up to you after a gig and asked why you paint your nails.

i've had that, dude....i've had someone asks me "why i paint my nails" "why i call myself punk" and i just said i paint my nails for the hell of...only live once, mite aswell make the most of it > Also i don't call myself punk, it's a waste of time labeling myself, 'cause 50-50 people are gona disagree. Pideonholing is useless

oh gosh guys... i agree the paint the make does nothing for the music.. its all self image.. and i surely hope you all dont with to me like the crap bands labled above..

im a chick and guys with eyeliner on that look hot with it is scotty rocker and billy joe armstong.. thats it other then that.. its just a "copy cat" thing going on have some origanailty please.. i understand the dead looking eyes like the misfits is great.. its great stage apparence..

many chicks i know.. are questioning some of the guys in new plymouth with the make up thing going on these days "gay or straight"

and the gay voice they put on and come up to yah and go "im like so EMO" makes you stand a think while a disgusted look on your face to the point of yelling out "F*%# you mcr, these kids are lost, its you and your fellow bands" yet my mate did yell that..

k put it this way if wearing eyeliner is a copycat thing then when dudes do/used to spike up their hair. then they are copying each other right?? and lets face it nothings original nowdays and if it is, than its really weird or kick ass and everyone else will copy it.
you do get posers who wear the makeup( or spike up their hair) to fit in. image and fashion is bullshit anyway you wear what you want, sweet az.

and whoever calls themselves emo is stupid and should instantly be labled as a poser. most people dnt even properly know what emo is

I dont paint my nails but I think If a guy wants to let him.
Anyone should be able to paint their nails black and no-one should sling off at them. If thats what they want to do, go ahead!.
I dont think they're copying either. Its just the persons choice,
And yeah some of those bands and singers are just pathetic (i wont be naming them though) but a few of them I really enjoy their music. Some of those bands are %100 real.

Yeah i wear black nail polish when i can. each to there own i think, It stands out and makes poeple look twice. Im also a christian which makes it more so.
