want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 7:54 pm Sup guys and gals, i'm looking for people to record. I don't mean just f*ck around recording...i mean using top of the line recording gear in a proper studio. Here's how it'll work....i'll get yous to send me a demo, if i like it...i'll get back to you. I'll later then get your band into the studio and record yous playing the selected song, then here's where the fun starts....i'll mark down what needs doing on it. THEN i'll record yous seperately and overdub it....ok, we'll record the lead guitar, followed by the bass, then over dub the drums, then lead guitar and then vocals. Then i'll duplicate what ever needs doing, make it all tight and compacted and then bobs your uncle. I'll do this ALL for free. I'm willing to help any band who's serious about playing music. Punk/metal/rock/emo/nu-metal. If yous are keen Reply to this post and i'll mark you down. Cheers Sailor- |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:50 pm A lot easier if you start with a click track and drums. Are you studying at MAINZ or SAE? |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Thu Mar 23, 2006 9:08 pm SAE, dude. Some people can't play to a click track...like myself lol it honestly puts me off like hell....i never used one when i'd record drums for my old band and it was drum beats like "paperwings" from rise against...the whole double kick then a single. |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Fri Mar 24, 2006 11:11 am some people cant play to a click track and it sounds horrible when you hear the recording, hear how much work has gone in to it and how out of time they are...... sheesh |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Fri Mar 24, 2006 4:03 pm all you need is a drummer who can play to a click - the rest of the band just has to be able to follow the drums. if the drummer cant follow a click, then your f*cked whichever way you look at it. |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Fri Mar 24, 2006 6:20 pm he doesn't have to be capable of play to a click, dude. Like i said i can't play to a click through headphones, i do it allllllll in my head when drumming and it comes out perfectly in time. |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Fri Mar 24, 2006 7:58 pm well you gota take into account that some people play rythmically to the context of the song like in some bits a song may tend to be slower in a verse or something? well anyway studio recordings without a click track sound loose and shit |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Sun Apr 2, 2006 2:32 pm they only sound loose if your drummer can't play in time, in all the recordings that i've done as well as when i've been recorded, the drums sound fine and in time, and that was with no click tracks used. and yeah, its so much easier to start off with drums, then the others in the band have got something to work off. if a guitarist is just playing to a click track, they can't work off what the drums is doing, if they can the song sounds a lot more fitted together. |

RE: want your band recorded? then read here Posted: Sun Apr 2, 2006 9:40 pm If you have a section where the drums stops and its just vocals or guitars or whateva 4 an interlude etc then without a clicktrack ur fucked especially if you have to do another track over that you have to guess the timeloss you had and try ur best to fit over it. very very hard and sloppy |
