so i heard on the radio that NZ Idol 3 is on its way around and i'm thinking of entering, not with intentions and hopes of winning, but to try and promote my band. My plan is i'm gonna apply, and on audition day i'll walk in with a t-shirt saying "support My Dying Wish" and i'll sing "A boy rushed red....living in black and white" but i'll just do the screaming parts, haha, will be awesome. So i'll stand there and go "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE IS WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE WE BOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH GO WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG" and if they show it on tv, FREE ADVERTISING

oh god no!! heh i should enter too and do some band promo too... that is not such a band idea! should go in face painted and all dressed up like a clown and sing... i would be shocked if they let in.. all ill do is go to the gigs and party it up with my mates!! up there.. fuck the contest!

WOW....a car, 50k cash and a recording contract, fuck, i might actually go into it all serious lol i mean, it's 1 album. After you record it, that's it you've finished idol, and i could use the 50k on my band and then while you record that one album iwth idol, you'll get like industry contacts. I't'll be awesome lol If i was "succesful"and got into like past the auditions, would yous vote me me haha

OK, I've never seen an idol contract, but I suspect there will be clauses in place to prevent anyone who is an "idol" from doing so much as sneezing without permission.

If I was a Christian or disguistingly fat I might have a chance of winning NZ idol, because singing talent doesn't get you very far on its own. Even if you did win you would only become a person that people vaguely recognise in a few years time when they see you on the street and wonder where they've seen you before, and then get reminded when they see your CD in the bargain bin at the warehouse. NZ idol? more like a chance for dominic 'can't my foundation get any darker?' bowden to make a few more measely dollars.

well considering Rosita is probably still working at KFC and Ben is a Church band member drop out, I can't beleive the money is that good. Especially when Ben feels the need to give himself a dreedfull haircut that makes him look like he's been attacked by Edward scissor hands.
