what you should really think about is, what was named first, the orange? or the colour? did they name the fruit orange and then decided they would call that colour orange or did they call the orange orange because it was orange in colour?

The hen, like every other creature on this planet evolved from another creature (unless you're a Christian or believer in intelligent design). So it stands to reason that at one point in time, the chicken as we know it today did not exist. But at some stage, the creature that would eventually evolve into a chicken would have laid an egg which would have hatched the first chicken. So answer is:

The Egg.

Yes the egg for sure man.Id say the carrot being tha its a vegie and fruit seems more exotic and would come around after something grown in the ground.
