datsuns true true.

bob dylan wouldn't suit the style of a big day out i don't feel, more like a sit down concert.(if you have seen his MTV unplugged concert you'll understand)

wolfmother would be sweet.

I vote for Pearl Jam ultimately! No, No!

Iron Maiden would be ideal. Not my favourite band but you need someone that's going to put on a good BIG show. Rammstein would be good too, but not as a headliner. I've heard through the grapevine that Pearl Jam are coming here in November, maybe when the new arena is finished!

what new arena would that be?

that would be a must for my gig list!!!

Ramstein could provide the BDO with its metal segment, but that is usually played late afternoon. No, No!

There's a new 12,000 seater arena being built here in Auckland. It's behind schedule hence bands like Coldplay, Radiohead and, possibly, Pearl Jam are giving NZ a miss.

Not that i'm a huge fan, but something in my gut is groaning that RHCP will be the headliners this year...after their recent release (and media issues). Other possibilities would be Pearl Jam or GNR.

I'd love to see some Tooth and Nail bands playing however i don't see many acts from that label playing for obvious reasons.

It would be sweet to see bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Dragonforce, Atreyu, Muse, Poison The Well, 30 Seconds to Mars, Sevendust...blah blah blah...same old rant every year. Dreaming is free.

NZ bands i think that will be jumping into the show this year...Cold By Winter, The Madison Press, The Midnight Youth...uhh...probably some popular 'scene' bands that are popular with the young folk...

Hopefully more guitar driven stuff.

Not that I wanna cut off other genres... I've enjoyed heaps of hip hop and electronica... which is a bitch sometimes, cuz I have to pick between totally different styles that I like equally. Choosing between Roni Size and Rammstein was torture.

But the German pryrotechnics... I just couldn't resist.

RHCP would be cool - they love NZ.

Ben Harper would be cool. Seen him 3 times down here and he's amazing.

Tool perhaps (speculation)... but I hope that wouldn't be to the sacrifice of a tour of local centres.

About time SINATE got a shot at it I reckon.

Dig out another old legend like Iggy too - that's always fun!

Glenn Hughes (Ex Deep Purple) has formed a band with Chad Smith and Dave Navarro - that would rock, since the album he did a while back is only just getting released in NZ now.

Something really brutal that's just released an album would be cool, gotta have the token hard act... Satyricon springs to mind for some reason.

Eh, I'm just thinking wishfully out loud now Laughing

Disturbed already played here recently... (luke warm reception from what I heard too).

Frankenbok would be great, they're going places.

Killswitch Engage would be very apt I think, since Metalcore is popular with the kids at the moment.
