yeah i preferr to buy my cds, because i like having the case and shit, plus it supports the artist blah bah blah.

i usually search for the cheap classics like bob dylan for $10!

otherwise, limewire is a good downloading program which you can download for free of the net.

yeah dude, in your shared folder(if you share your files) or where ever you keep your music drag them into nero or if you dont have that drag them into media player and you should be able to burn cds!

i dis like new plymouth sounds... but i love missing link great little independent music shop in new plymouth if not there i try another local shop called raw recoreds if not in new plymouth i try real grovey online... the warehouse is pretty good for scratched cd's....

Real Groovy for the awesome bargain bins (when they re-stock it's always fucking sweet, lotsa good shit). Also their metal section gives me a woody every time I go there.

I love doing the rounds of the $10-$15 sales around town at Soundz/CD Store/Warehouse etc.

More often though I use the net to order CD's, either directly from the label or through reputable distributors.

And for downloading I use Soulseek - been my fav' for years. I even donate $5 a month for the privelage of no queues (they support underground music through their label)

Yeah the Auckland one is huge.

I found a great wee shop in Melbourne when I was over there, spent about 300 there on 2nd hand CD's! Specialised almost exclusively in metal, punk and hardcore.

Cash Converters can be brilliant for bargains - BUT - you have to get them just as they re-stock or you'll only find Spice Girls and Ricky Martin CD's. The staff get dibs on the really good stuff... I went to Cash Converters in Hereford St in ChCh and found TEN GOOD CD's for only 80 bucks - the dude that served me said Yeah Real Groovy in Dunedin had a leak and they got rid of their water damaged stock... but the staff got to go through it all first
